This mourning I ate breakfast with my mother and her significant other. I’m always checking the tower on 6th for T.V. and until today my highest count has been 16. well this mourning I counted 81! it was an approximate count due to a few birds being difficult to see because of either the tower or other vultures.Strong storms had just recently rolled through the area and I wonder if that has anything to do with the sudden extreme increase. I had only my little backup binoculars and the light was bad so I didnt get to thoroughly examine them all for Black Vulture. A couple other birds of note were Wilson’s Warbler and Blue Grosbeak both life birds for me. They were spotted as I walked the RR tracks from Bayou to behind Casey’s gas station.
